“I have nominated the West Roster team (Nicola, Sam and Scott) as every week they go above and beyond completing rosters, allocating over time, rest day work to cover sickness and annual leave.

They do so with no complaints, and are not often recognised for all the hard work they put in.

Thanks to them, we can ensure Schedule 17 and Hidden 18 are not broken, staff are supported if they need any changes to their rosters, disruption is much more easily managed thanks to the correct cover, and all staff take their entitled annual leave.

I believe this team are real unsung heroes, as they go about their days so quietly and productively, and I don't believe many realise life on the west would look very different without their care and knowledge on the staff, the line, and rosters.

The team go above and beyond their roles, helping out with all different things that are not on their job description, and again, never complain or have any objections to helping others.

They are friendly, approachable, all have outstanding customer service skills, and consistently show the companies values of being genuine, inclusive, professional and proactive.“

“I’ve only managed this team since February but what an amazing team they are to work with. They have made me very welcome, answered all my silly questions and shown me how incredibly organised they all are.

They face many obstacles each week making sure the rosters go out with enough cover for the frontline teams to be able to provide excellent customer service and do their jobs in a safely manner. This is never a problem for them and is done without any complaints.

Nothing it too much trouble, always going above and beyond to help each other out and taking on work that’s not always required by them to help each other out. They are proactive, always one step ahead of a potential problem and very approachable and professional towards their colleagues.

I am nominating them for rail team of the year because as a team behind the scenes they deserve to recognised for the amount of amazing work they do each week.“
