Said the following about Shaun Henry:

“On the morning of April 24th, a Freightliner static shunter based in Crewe, came to work feeling unwell, At the start of his shift He was advised by the Shift Manager to go home.

As the staff member was leaving the site, he collapsed backwards, landed on his back, and banged his head on the ground. Shaun saw this from the Crewe restroom and ran out to join two other staff members on the scene where he rushed into action and started to perform CPR.

To ensure the casualty regained some stability, Shaun used the defibrillator kit that was brought onto the scene expertly before putting the casualty into the recovery position, made him comfortable with some coats that the team in the VMF supplied and did his best to reassure him and keep him calm. Shaun then continued to monitor his vital signs until the ambulance arrived and the paramedics attended to him before taking him to the hospital.

The casualty was admitted to Leighton Hospital where he was tested, observed and thankfully made a full recovery.“
