Said the following about Mohamed Shalo:

“I’d like to nominate Mohamed Shalo (Mo) for dealing with an extremely difficult situation with an ill passenger on board late night the train. Mo took the initiative to board the train and with the support of a fellow customer, he was able to remove the customer safely onto a heavily overcrowded platform. Immediately made an announcement for any medically trained persons to attend and provide assistance to the ill passenger. Mo arranged for an ambulance and also rushed upstairs to get the Defibrillator. It was established the customer suffered a major heart attack whilst on the train and Mo’s quick thinking and actions most probably saved a life. He was able to deal with major disruption, overcrowding, train cancellations and an ill passenger, and managing his team all at the same time by keeping calm, professional and in control.

Mo deserves to be recognised for his prompt action in dealing with such a difficult situation as he always goes above and beyond what is required of him.“
