Nominations for Project Manager of the Year

Said the following about Rachel Wilson:

“Rachel joined Bridgeway in 2006 directly after Graduating in Geography at Derby University and has since successfully worked her way through most roles within our Geomatics Team. Starting as an Assistant Surveyor, Rachel began learning her survey trade both on site and undertaking office based data processing, and quickly proved herself to be an adaptable and capable member of the team. It wasn’t long before Rachel was leading her own surveys on site and was adept at leading from both technical and safety perspectives.

Following a career change where Rachel worked for Derbyshire County Council, she was invited back into the Bridgeway fold in the position of Project Manager to help to enhance the growing Geomatics department. She accepted her new position in May 2013 and quickly settled back into the railway way of life.

In her role of Project Manager, Rachel has successfully delivered a number of challenging and high profile projects on behalf of the Bridgeway Geomatics Team. She has lead projects such as Transpennine Electrification, Inverclyde Resignalling Surveys, Banbury Resignalling and is currently engaged with Euston Lineside track and topographical surveys to enable HS2 design works. Absolutely key to Rachel’s success has been her willingness to take on challenges and develop relationships with her clients, while still maintaining her technical and rail competencies to enable a full appreciation of any projects which she is involved with.

It is my pleasure to nominate Rachel for Project Manager of the Year 2015, as I feel that her dedication to the both her projects and to the development of the team marks her out as a true professional.“
