Said the following about Graham Parker:

“Graham joined Bridgeway in 2002 fresh from Graduating in Geography at Derby University and has since proved himself time and again by working his way through the career progression structure within our Geomatics Team. Starting as an Assistant Surveyor, Graham was primarily employed in helping on-site duties and supporting our Engineering Surveyors, yet it very quickly became apparent that he was destined for bigger things. Within a short timescale he was leading his own survey works and acquired a comprehensive knowledge and appreciation of Network Rail safety procedures by undertaking Safety Critical duties on a regular basis. Graham was also instrumental in facilitating pway design works following the Lambrigg derailment in 2007.

In recognition of his dedication and ability to quickly meet new challenges, Graham was gradually promoted through the ranks of Engineering Surveyor, Technical Specialist, and Project Delivery Surveyor, each time welcoming additional responsibility and managing an ever more technically challenging workload. This rise culminated in 2011 when Graham was again promoted to the role of Project Manager.

Since taking on the role of Project Manager, Graham has successfully delivered a number of high profile and varied projects on behalf of the Bridgeway Geomatics Team. He has excelled in tendering, planning, monitoring, checking and issuing high quality survey information to enable design works and has spent much of his time delivering surveys to the Northern Hub and North Western Electrification Project.

I have no hesitation in nominating Graham for Project Manager of the Year 2015, as I feel that this marks recognition of someone who has shown determination, adaptability and dedication to the Bridgeway cause over a 13 year career to date. I hope and expect that Graham will continue to develop his career and skillset in the way that I have personally witnessed since we first met in 2006.“
