Said the following about Rachana Gautam:

“Rachana is a great colleague who works hard to keep everyone safe but also keep everyone well with her great Wellbeing Fairs.

Rachana makes safety everyone’s responsibility by supporting people to keep passengers, colleagues and themselves safe. Day to day she works tirelessly to make sure our safety policies are updated and available to everyone but always makes time to help with a risk assessment or safety reporting.

But Rachana also goes well beyond her safety role to make sure not only is everyone safe but to help our teams stay happy and healthy with quarterly Wellbeing Fairs. Rachana puts a lot of hours and effort into bringing together charities including Stroke Association, Prostate Cancer UK and Railway Benefit Fund as well as partners such as London Ambulance, BTP and Safety Reporting advisors. At these events colleagues can receive free health checks, a great opportunity to spot early signs and keep people well and knowledgeable.

She also arranges free yoga and Pilates taster sessions, to encourage people to look after the mental wellbeing too. All of this shows how caring of her colleagues Rachana is, and well deserving of this award.
