Said the following about Geraldine Williams **HAS LEFT**:

“Geraldine is an extremely dedicated individual who has a genuine passion for ensuring that Health, Safety, Wellbeing and Security are upheld to the best possible standards within the workplace and through the way we deliver our projects.

Geraldine is committed to increasing the awareness and importance of Health, Safety and Wellbeing in the most creative and interactive way possible to ensure maximum impact.

Her commitment has been demonstrated through the coordination of health, safety and wellbeing weeks that engages some 350+ employees across five office locations in daily talks and activities. These themed weeks, held every year, are extremely popular and increase awareness of health, safety and wellbeing. Activities that occur include: planned lunch time walks, Wii Fit tennis tournaments, pedometer challenges, local business talks, themed presentations, getting everyone to write safety pledges, healthy breakfasts.

Geraldine is central in the monthly safety cascades where she creates animated videos rather than long PowerPoint slide to engage the audience more on the monthly issues. Recognising that being active and eating right are just one side of health and safety, Geraldine has also raised awareness of mental health and stress through these interactive talks educated senior managers and colleagues what signs to look out for in our peers.

Health and Safety on the railway is fundamental to Mott MacDonald and the way we operate and having someone who is dedicated to ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of all our employees in the rail sector is vitally important. Geraldine is our Railway Safety & Compliance Coordinator, Sentinel Scheme Sponsor, CIRAS Representative, BMS (SHEQ) Representative. She schooled herself to achieving NEBOSH IGC (credit), is first aid trained and is the dedicated fire warden for the office building floor.

I believe that Geraldine is an outstanding example of a Rail Safety Person. She is very passionate about safety and delivering the possible life saving messages in a way that engages the audience and gets everyone's attention.“
