Said the following about Paul Bean:

“TSO's Paul Bean & Colin Yeung were onboard the 1402 service. As the service was leaving the service came to a sudden halt with the driver of the service making TSO's aware that there was a male on the tracks who appeared vulnerable. Upon the service slowly making its way into the Station the male was positioned now on the platform and appearing in a distressed state. TSO's Bean & Yeung attempted to build a relationship with the male to gather the facts regarding his situation. Seconds later the male made a sudden attempt to run towards the live rail in an attempt to gain access to the tracks, thanks to TSO's quick thinking the male was able to be apprehended and moved to a safe and secure location on the platform, TSO's remained with the male for over 25 minutes gaining valuable information regarding the male's sorry state in which it became apparent the male is of a low mood and intent on suicide, TSO Bean reassured the male and consoled him on a number of occasions due to his visibly distressed state. TSO's remained in position safeguarding the male until BTP officers arrived in which TSO's was able to share the details of the male's condition gathered throughout the incident to ensure he gets the correct help required. Both officers performed their duties impeccably ensuring the individual safety and wellness remained paramount throughout the traumatic incident whilst ensuring minimal disruption to the railway network, We are incredibly proud of both Paul & Colin for their swift and brave actions which resulted in a lifesaving intervention“
