Lorraine Portnow

Said the following about Michael King:

“Michael takes the time and money to decorate his stations for major events such as Wimbledon, football, the coronation, pride month. He also organises an Easter egg collection every year for the local hospitals and also does a Christmas food collection across 5+ stations on his area. This has proved to be so very important for the local community and last year created over 1000 meals for local families. The customers always comment on his decorations and can't wait for the next one to go up. Michael is a very caring man and is very humble, he does not realise what a difference he makes to peoples journeys and their starting day. I have had the pleasure of helping Michael with these events and I personally see the dedication that he has to making them a success.“

Sabrina Hills

Said the following about Michael King:

“I am nominating Michael because he starts a charity Easter egg collection for the local children's ward at Harlow hospital. This year he collected over 400 Easter eggs/treats

At Christmas, he started a foodbank collection for 2 local food banks which collected enough food for 1000 families.

At Easter, Christmas, Queen's Jubilee, King's Coronation and now pride month he has decorated 2 booking halls with bunting and decorations. He is very helpful with other members of staff including myself

Our customers love the things he does with the booking hall and I often get asked what he is doing next.“

“I am nominating Michael. I have been though Stansted Mountfitchet several times.

Michael has always been very helpful. He has always smiled and greeted me with good morning. He has done amazing decorations for Christmas, Easter, Jubilee and the coronation which I know others have enjoyed. He has also organised collections for the local hospital and foodbanks. In the past he has gone above and beyond when I have left items on the train

He is a credit to Greater Anglia.“

Also I would definitely recommend him for his charity work as his collections for the local hospital and food banks have been successful.

It's always a pleasure when u walk into the booking hall as he decorates the booking hall for special occasion.“
