Said the following about Angela Milton:

“I have been a very regular customer at Shelford Station for many years and I have got to know Angela well. She has not only gone over and above to help me with train and ticketing queries, but whilst waiting in the Shelford waiting room I have watched her provide an exceptional service to each and every customer who has walked through the door. Angela is very experienced and she not only has a forensic knowledge of the railway network but, and from a customers perspective most importantly, she is very kind. I have seen her patience in action when dealing with very complex ticket requests (often during peak travel times!) and very difficult customers. Each customer leaves Shelford feeling that she has gone over and above for them, this is despite Angela having some difficult health issues which she never lets compromise her role. She also goes above and beyond to make the station a lovely place to be and has provided a library for customers to borrow books to read during train journeys (a lovely idea!). Angela is due to retire in the next year (Shelford customers are all devastated at the prospect and her departure will be a real loss to the community as a whole) and it would be lovely and fitting if she could be recognised for her amazing work via these awards before she retires.“
