I am thrilled to nominate Mel Allison for her outstanding contributions to the Station Management team at SWR. Mel's dedication, tireless effort, and remarkable abilities have not only had a profound impact on our station but have also fostered growth and success in our planning for events planned and unplanned.

Mel to me stands out for her exceptional ability to bring together the station management team and the station operations teams, aligning their efforts seamlessly to make remarkable things happen in such a short amount of time. Her knack for meticulous planning and her unwavering commitment to execution have been instrumental in achieving our station's objectives for events and day to day hurdles that appear.

One of Mel's most remarkable qualities is her uncanny ability to collaborate with all functions within our business, leveraging her extensive network of contacts. She has proven time and time again that through her collaborative working approach, she can overcome challenges and drive results, no matter the scale of the task at hand. When you work with Mel, you instantly feel the power of teamwork, as she readily offers advice, support on the phone, and an incredible ability to keep you calm and focused, even when faced with adversity.

Mel's extensive networking efforts have also greatly benefited our stations, Her ability to build valuable relationships with external partners, especially in securing VMS screens and fencing for events, has proven to be a game-changer and showed during the troops ' movements. Her network is a testament to her trustworthiness and dependability, making her a go-to person for any station-related hurdles being faced.

Whilst Mel's main role is PA to Heads of department, Mel also takes her time to assist customers when around platforms, and during disruption will look out for customers who are vulnerable and make sure they are being looked after, she will also understand the needs of the customer and will see they get home safe and sound, by escorting them to the correct platform or when required booking them a taxi, and she will also put the family at ease by speaking to them, I saw this personally during a code red where she put the passenger at ease with her friendly manner and tone.

In conclusion, Mel's contributions to our station's management are truly exceptional. She has consistently demonstrated a remarkable ability to lead, collaborate, and inspire those around her. Her unwavering support, problem-solving prowess, and tireless dedication to our station's success have undoubtedly helped us grow not only as a function but also as individuals.
