Said the following about Katerina Makolova:

“Wao! What can l say about my Manager? So professional, determined, hardworking, fair-minded personality. So neat and always wants her Station to be trouble free and exciting. A Manager who visits her Station for checks even on Sundays and late. Always ready to supply the needs of her staff. A very caring Manager but yet strict with her work. She is my best Metro Station staff Manager and she surely deserves the award“

Said the following about Katerina Makolova:

“Hi I would like to nominate Ekaterina Makolova for Rail manager of the year.

Since becoming my manager about 18 months ago Ekaterina has always been extremely helpful, always helps the staff when she can and is also very easy to talk to which has been a great help to me personally.

I have had a lot of personal issues over the last year going through a divorce which I didn't see coming and Ekaterina has been very supportive of me to be able to work efficiently while also making sure that I am getting the help I need to get through this trying time.

Ekaterina is an absolute pleasure to work for she has gotten to know all of her staff and helps us all with any of our problems big or small, everyone of my colleagues thinks that Ekaterina is a wonderful person and a true asset to the Metro Area.

Ekaterina is always on hand to speak with, or depending on the problem will come straight over to visit the station to help solve the problem or advise us how to solve problems.

Since Ekaterina took over our area things run a lot smoother and Ekaterina loves solving problems and making our work lives better.

I would love Ekaterina to win this award so she can be truly recognised for all of her efforts and hardwork which she has put into being our manager, I cannot think of anyone more deserving.

I would like to hope that I would be working for Ekaterina for many more years to come but I feel before that time she would be moving up through the company furthering her career.“

Said the following about Katerina Makolova:

“Ekaterina is a champion for customer accessibility and community engagement at Gipsy Hill Station.

She is our station manager at Gipsy Hill where we have our station community garden. She has been brilliant, always helpful, proactive in maintaining the station and suggesting ways to improve, and pragmatic in solving problems. Thanks to her help we now have a fantastic new Gipsy Hill station entrance sign to support our step free side entrance. She helped to get the sign and the opening event had our MP marking the achievement. To support this entrance she helped in funding and design for new step free wayfinding. This was a complex project as it needed collaborative support from the local authority and site visits to carefully shape the overall design and customer needs at the station. An example of being pragmatic was when our station customer information screens stopped working properly (and refreshed their images too quickly to read each one) she was on the phone straight away and it was resolved that morning. These are just a few of many examples of how practical and helpful she is, and we are very grateful for her support at the station.“
