“I have known Julia for 5 years now and I have seen her support the current GTR Prince's Trust "Get into Programme" and I have estimated that she has helped over 80 young people secure role in the Railway. These young people face all sorts of challenges in life and Julia supports them day in and day out.
She undertakes around 60 extra hours a year to ensure that she support's each programme of which we have three a year. Julia has a demanding day job and she has to catch up on her day job after hours when supporting the young people.
Every single young person would tell you that without her support and kindness they would have struggled. She is also a progression mentor to a number of the young people and will be on hand taking calls at any time they have a wobble.
Julia also looks at ways to improve the programme to best suit the young people, and she is a massive advocate for giving everyone an opportunity to join a great organisation. Julia acts with uncompromising honesty and integrity in everything she undertakes, her passion and drive to help these young people be something special and is what makes her truly inspiring to me and the young people.“
