Said the following about Isabelle Milford:

“Isabelle Milford is a driven and supportive woman in rail who has strived to create a better and more diverse community within our company. She is committed to creating real change in Diversity & Inclusion within System Operator and has created a working group to challenge our processes and ways of thinking, to create a better environment for us all. She has split her working group into many subgroups that tackle career planning, returning from work from prolonged absence, diverse recruitment and many more. She has facilitated the implementation of a reciprocal mentoring scheme being rolled out across the department that will allow colleagues to share their stories with senior members of staff regarding their protected characteristic(s), and receive encouragement and help from those members of senior leadership. This is just one achievement from the work she has done creating this working group. She draws passionate people through the department into her group and gives them a voice and the tools they need to create real change. Ultimately this is why I am nominating her for Diversity & Inclusion Person, because in a space of passionate but displaced individuals, she has drawn together a team and given them all the support they need to actually drive real change in the business which I think will have an impact for years to come.“
