Said the following about Graham Palmer:

“Graham started with Northern Rail in 2006 and quickly gained a reputation amongst both colleagues and passengers for his clear, concise yet entertaining on board announcements. Some would say he is a minor celebrity at Middlesbrough depot having made several local newspapers, who picked up on positive feedback from our customers. Graham spent his own time developing a series of announcements after an initiative from Northern Rail to improve our communication with passengers.

Graham has been a conductor at Middlesbrough for 9 and half years and he became a minder conductor in 2008, to ensure the highest quality training is provided to our new recruits. He has an art at being able to put people at ease and ensures he is a focal point whenever colleagues need future advice. He takes great pride in delivering excellent customer service, and nothing is ever too much for him.

Below are just a few of the 100+ Twitter reports we have received praising Graham.

‘Graham Palmer has yet again excelled with his friendliness and cheerfulness, more staff like him please’.

‘Graham Palmer is an absolute credit to Northern Rail, many passengers praising him this morning.’

‘Announcements this morning caught my attention and made me smile, I don’t usually listen.’

‘Conductor on the Saltburn to Darlo line this morning was fab, great announcements.’
