He always goes above and beyond for customers and being a commercial guard gives him a great opportunity to use his customer service skills every day.
He is punctual, well spoken, patient and extremely polite and all of this shines through when he is dealing with customers, especially during disruption.
I relieved his train once at Woking when he was due to finish and a customer had a query. Gordon then stayed on my train to Waterloo helping this customer even though he had finished his shift.
Now if that isn't going above and beyond for our customers, I don't know what is!“
“I didn't think you could top last year, which was the first RailStaff Awards I went to. But this year well and truly surpassed it. Everything from the layout, theme, awards presentation, (the hosts fabulous jacket!) to the entertainment. My guests were amazed by it and I was very lucky to be part of it.
