Andrew Fletcher

Said the following about Daniel Omatsola-Morgan:

“Daniel goes above and beyond in his day-to-day job, yet still manages to find time to squeeze in his passion for STEM and ED&I. Daniels involvement and passion for both ED&I and STEM is inspiring and doesn’t go un-noticed. He’s taken the reins in driving change and growing the awareness throughout the business, local schools, and colleges.

In 2022 Daniel was chosen to represent Embrace at the Transportation Senior Leadership ED&I day, where he delivered an activity to generate discussion around representation of minority communities within Atkins, creating a space for open and honest conversation about the topic. Daniel didn’t stop there, in the same year he took time out to speak to Hillcrest School & Sixth Form Centre in conjunction with the Smallpeice Trust, Daniel impressed so much that he was invited back to speak to the Year 13 students who had an interest in pursuing a career in engineering.

Building momentum in highlighting the work Embrace do within the business was led by Daniel. June 2023 saw Daniel speak at the Signalling Engineering Director Roadshow delivering a presentation on the objectives of the Embrace network, the areas of focus for the network and how to become involved as an ally to the network, specifically by supporting the THRIVE Atkins signature programme for ethnic minorities.

Daniel delivers regular lunch and learn meetings on the importance of ED&I, presenting ideas to senior levels of the business on how improvements within Atkins can be made.

“Great companies are built in the office, with hard work put in by a team.”“

Said the following about Daniel Omatsola-Morgan:

“Daniel is a key member of the CRSA OLE team in Birmingham. He is a powerhouse for diversity and equality within the workplace and is also a STEM champion. He has used his personal experiences and knowledge to further the understanding of all strands of diversity both within CRSA and the wider Atkins business. He is an excellent mentor to more junior members of staff and is a role model to us all. On top of that, he is always cheerful and ready with a smile and helpful words for others.

Daniel has also been recently selected as a finalist for the "Mentor of the Year" award from the BPIC network, which is in itself a testament to his hard work.“
