Said the following about Crossrail Signalling Integration Team Bombardier Transportation:

“'The Crossrail Integration team is responsible for the integration of ETCS, CBTC and AWS/TPWS for the Crossrail project, including the development of the Signalling Test Integration rig, in the Train Zero Lab in Derby. This requires the whole time to develop efficient and productive working relationship across the Bombardier organisation and its supply chain.

The team is composed of:

- Chris Hannant - Signalling Systems Engineer

- Ricky Morris - Signalling Systems Integration Manager

The team has successfully:

· Developed a Signalling Integration Test Rig concept, delivery plan, schedule and procurement of suitable for functional testing of the TCMS, CBTC, ETCS & TPWS Signalling;

· Assembled and commissioned the Signalling Test Rig for testing and TCMS product development;

· Developed a comprehensive suite of test procedures and RTSIM (simulator) Test scripts in accordance with Train Protection Systems customer requirements and standards;

· Developed the test facility to deliver automated testing and enable remote access from any Bombardier PC (accessed daily from India & Germany);

· Tested the Signalling AWS/TPWS (Stage 1) & TCMS systems – our test cycle has been progressively reduced (currently 3 days and is largely automated);

· Assembled a Mobile Test Equipment Rig and interface cables to be used for testing the Siemens CBTC (Stage 3) in Germany.

As a result, the team has delivered a demonstration of the on-board signalling system to the Commissioner for Transport for London, Crossrail CEO, Bombardier President and Crossrail Project Director.'“
