Said the following about Charles Dickson:

“I have been seeing Charles at Gipsy Hill station on my way to work or travelling through the station many times and always seen Charles engaging with customers and local residents who will just come to the station to converse. After working at the station one day on the same shift as him we acquainted and became friends due to his cool and calm nature. I remember him saying he always wanted to do charity work to help people who are under privileged. But when Covid came some of us worked throughout the crisis he was at hand advising customers, helping with the distribution of masks and encouraging people to wear them and also to use the hand sanitizers provided. I have seen him going beyond his duties to help the elderly without compromising work either. I believe he deserves this award for what I personally saw him do and what others have positively said about him. I try to emulate him in some ways customer service wise.“
