“Angela a conductor based in Glasgow, is nominated as on Tuesday 6 January, the train she was working failed, resulting in a heavy delay and severe disruption to our customers on board. The service was diverted from Glasgow to Edinburgh. During the disruption not only did Angela act with professionalism during difficult circumstances, she waited at Haymarket for 90 minutes until all affected customers were safely aboard onward transport to their destinations. In particular Angela dealt compassionately with one customer who suffered the loss of a family member during this disruption. This delay resulted in Angela working 15hrs which she did without complaining or making any demands on control. This is a great reflection on her and shows great dedication to her job and our customers and shows how we as a company can go above and beyond during these difficult times.“
