“I'd like to nominate Amanda for this award as she's an absolute gem! She's recently been seconded from her job on Durham station to the role of Roster Clerk, covering stations and travel centres.
Despite this being a very demanding job and her being new to the challenges it brings, she takes day to day problems in her stride and works hard to overcome them. She makes a real effort to be on a first name basis with the frontline staff and is often seen out and about and always with a smile on her face. Her enthusiasm and cheerfulness are both obvious and infectious and she always brightens your day!
Amanda is always going the extra mile and despite doing a traditional 9 to 5 role, colleagues often wake up to emails that she's sent the evening before, long after they've gone to bed while she's been sorting out their annual leave.
Amanda is a true ray of sunshine and I think she thoroughly deserves this nomination.“
