“I would like to nominate the entire Recruitment Team at Transport for Wales Rail Limited for this award. We saw a dip in recruitment during the covid pandemic due to us not being in a position to bring as many new employees into the business as what we would usually. Since then our recruitment across all roles has gone crazy!! Although the recruitment team itself has seen some new recruiters and admin colleagues join over recent months, they all still have to work effortlessly to achieve the high demands of our business and I don't believe they get enough recognition for their hard work. We are currently going through a massive transformation programme which is seeing us increase the number of Drivers, Conductors, Station staff and other roles right across the business and this has seen our recruitment levels increase quite substantially. Having worked with the recruitment team quite closely for many years I wanted to give them the recognition they deserve and say a big thank you!“

Coupled with finding the right person, with the the right attitude / behaviour and skillset who would fit into the TFW family with ease. They remain professional at all times, always willing to think outside the box, and are always open for suggestions and feedback. They certainly roll their sleeves up to get recruitment right. “I would like to thank you for a amazing night. The theme of the night was great, we all entered into the spirit and dressed to impress. On arrival we where amazed with the greeting, the Rail Seventeen Cups were a lovely touch, as were the bouncers on the door. The food was fabulous and the show by the stunt men and dancers was a real treat. The awards were a pleasure to watch, my favorite being the Life Time achievement, which brought a tear to everyone’s eyes. Then we danced the night away to the band, who where great and had a gamble with our fun money. Overall the atmosphere was electric. I enjoyed every minute of the evening.”
