Said the following about Tina Moulton:

“I am nominating Guards Manager Tina Moulton based at Bristol Temple Meads Tina has been a Manager for just over 5 years however was a Train Manager for over 10 years at Great Western

I believe she has demonstrated some exemplary achievemnets this year and is a worthy winner of the title.

Just over 12 months ago FGW embarked on an extensive recruitment plan as we prepare for the Super Express Trains Bristol Guards Depot has recruited over 40 new Train Managers and Conductors and Tina has been key to ensuring all those colleagues have met the standards required but more importantly been treated as individuals with regards to training plans that met there strengths and weaknesses this has taken time and fantastic communication skills which Tina has embraced with a 100% pass rate.

In May 15 FGW took the decision to re-invigorate the Train (wo)man project enabling Managers within the business to gain Operational Competence in the role of the Guard I approached Tina and she agreed to embark on this key project over 35 Managers in the Central Region have passed the programme and Tina has done this by coaching and sharing her years of experience of On Board Train Manager experience to develop and build confidence with the volunteers to enable them to work both High Speed Trains and DMU units. Many Managers contacted me personally to say Tina was exceptional and a credit to my team but I think more to herself.

I think she is a worthy winner of Rail Manager of the Year and if Brunnel was here now he would be proud to have Tina on his table ''Building a Greater West'' as we launch into a new era of GWR.“
