Said the following about Mick Wyles - **HAS LEFT**:

“• Testimony – Ian Langton, Head of Production

Mick Wyles deserves recognition for his hard work in, and dedication to, the planning and utilisation maintenance of wagon fleets for GB Railfreight.

As Wagon Planning Manager, Mick has acted far in excess of the requirements of his role, often carrying out the cleaning of the wagons himself.

This has been exemplified on two projects in particular, both of which were aggregates operations and required action at short notice:

(1) The first incident involved the cleaning of the JGA’s ERG 17319, 17320 and 17322, which had coal residue inside them from the winter. Wagons were placed into Whitemoor and Mick acquired a pressure washer from the HOBC staff, climbed inside them and washed them out ready for the commencement of an Aggregate Industries flow.

371090 was then sent to March Shed for trialling on an aggregates flow, where Mick had the wagon placed over the pit and swept out any residual coal himself.

(2) When GBRf took on the MJA fleet from FreightLiner, they had ballast and track renewal debris in them. Over a number of weeks, Mick has practically been inside all 60, sweeping them out for either Aggregate Industries or Siniat flows.

There was talk of a potential Salt flow from Boston to Southampton, which again saw Mick swing into action. 18 JNA’s at Hexthorpe were cleared of stone ready for this flow. Unfortunately, the work didn’t materialise.

In each of these examples, Mick has given up a lot of his time to ensure that our box type wagons are maintained when they should be and returned to service for the next important contract.“
