Said the following about Steven Brennan:

“On the morning of June 4th there was a confirmed terror attack within Borough Market area of London very close to London Bridge Station. Due to the ongoing and unpredictability of the terrorists next attack the decision was made by TBROC to cancel all services on the Thameslink.

This meant a total of 16 additional arrivals were sent to Cricklewood sidings at very short notice. This was compounded by the fact an isolation- possession had already began at Bedford leaving jowett and Bedford siding out of use. Steve Brennan was on shift thankfully and managed to plan in all the arrivals at very short notice ensuring he got everything in and stabled. Steve also managed to get all the unit protected and cleaned, ready for service. Steve managed to do this without a yard protector shunter on shift effectively doubling this work load. It goes without saying that on this day the country and GTR really needed people to step up and work as a team in order to help out the service and to get it back to normal.

Steven more than contributed towards this and I feel that we should be very thankful to have people like him working for GTR. I feel that Steven should be recognised.“
