Said the following about Phil Corcoran:

“Phil started his career with Railtrack as a Data Entry Clerk over 15 years ago and throughout that time he has progressed through the Project Management ranks of Project Management Assistant and Scheme Project Manager to where he is today as an excellent and well respected Project Manager having successfully commissioned a number of varied projects including TDM’s, Level Crossings, Western Train Operated Points, Swindon B Re-lock Re-control & Immunisation before working on Port Talbot West and currently Cornwall Phase 2.

Phil encourages all members of the team to get involved and helps support both the development of the team and also the projects within the portfolio, continually seeking better ways to deliver projects. Phil’s commitment, willingness to listen, challenge and collaborate makes him a vital member of the team and as such a successful Project Manager.

In addition to the day job Phil provides lots of support to both his project team and also the wider programme team which has seen him champion a number of processes such as AMP and ARM to name a few and to show how highly Phil is valued; he was asked and is currently heavily involved in helping to create the first Project Management Community for IP Signalling Southern.

The impact Phil has made on the team is clear to see and he can regularly be seen offering his time; support and knowledge to help others develop which also sees him mentoring not only new members of the team but also senior members of the team.

It’s clear to see that Phil loves his job and he is never seen without a smile on his face which in turn reflects on the team!“
