“I wish to nominate Peter as an outstanding individual who has been the steering figure in pushing Rail Care Teams forward and making them the major player they are to rail incidents today.
His tireless efforts, professionalism and sheer determination to never rest on how far the Care Team group has developed since its inception over 10 years ago to the position we now find the industry in is truly remarkable and I am sure I am not alone in saying that with a different figurehead at the helm then we may not have achieved so much to date.
Care Teams are now regularly responding to incidents on TOC networks nationally in a well organised manner working closely with outside agencies such as the NHS, Police and local authorities as well as the very many other voluntary sector workers who respond to incidents on a daily basis and for that I give thanks to them all but am well aware that bit for Peter and HIS efforts that may not be the case.“
