“On 15th May 2015 at 21:32pm Paul was brought to a Stand by the Signaller and informed that a lady was on the crossing ahead and had been for some time.
Paul saw the lady walking down the track towards his train. He got off the train and as a result if chatting with the lady, he managed to persuade her to walk back to the crossing with him.
It was during his conversation that she informed him of her intention to take her life and if it wasn't his train it would be another.
Paul stayed chatting with the lady until the police arrived and took charge of the situation.
At that point, Paul's actions definitely saved her life and prevented the anguish which follows for friends, family and the Driver involved in the incident.“
