“Paul Mullen stopped a young female who tried to jump onto the track on platform 1 at 23:51, Paul Mullen managed to grab her coat to stop her as he did this he noticed that he had blood all over his hands which had come from a large cut on her neck which was self-inflicted.
Whilst the female was distressed and in a bad place Paul remained with her and ensured she was safe and cared for. Paul managed to get her down to a position of safety in the booking hall, there were other self-harm wounds on her legs, and the BTP and Ambulance were called.
Without Paul's visibility on the platforms and quick thinking to save this lady, this could have been a very sad evening for not only the family of the female but for all the team at the station. Thank you Paul for being there.“
