“I would like to nominate Paul for the phenomenal effort he has put into changing the way that we as a Maintenance Delivery Unit engage with safety. He listened to the feedback from staff, and radically changed our period Team and Safety Briefs. He was given the go-ahead by our IMDM Martin Taylor, whose idea it was originally to do this. Then Paul took it to another level right from the start, producing an amazing first video safety brief.
Paul organises, films, stars in and edits our new Safety Videos that we show at each brief, followed by a facilitated discussion in smaller groups. This means that the DU are more engaged with safety, the briefs are tailor made to our depot, they are informative and fun and more people have more of a say because they feel more comfortable to in the smaller groups.
Paul has put in so much effort into the new briefs that they are much more worthwhile and we all look forward to them. He has worked so hard, and I feel he needs to be recognised for this.“
