Said the following about Nikki Hobbs:

“Nikki started her rail career in 2019 joining the gateline team in Newport (Gwent). During this time she transformed the customer experience by holding 'commuter yoga' for regular rail users commuting through the station, her natural ability to connect with, empathise and her infectious attitude toward life led her to interact naturally with customers ensuring they were delighted and made to feel special in every interaction. During her time at Newport, Nikki received more praise from customer correspondence than any other team member.

She left Newport in 2020, joining a new formed team at Cardiff Central as a Customer Ambassador, a credit to the joy she created at Newport. During this time, she became the face of TFW for a BBC documentary where she entertained customers on a daily basis, empathising and showing humanity and a joy for life she developed incredible relationships with customers. One fond memory from the documentary was when a customer lost a set of false teeth, Nikki spent a considerable amount of time looking for said teeth. Although the teeth were never found, her dedication to helping the public comes across with abundance.

In 2022, Nikki was promoted to the role of Customer Integration Manager, joining a team who are responsible for station infrastructure works for the Core Valley Line transformation ensuring customers are kept in the heart of every single decision. Nikki led on the energisation and installation of OLE throughout South East Wales Valley line network. She developed strong relationships drawing on her interpersonal skills with construction and design teams and when things within the team get tough, we can count on Nikki to brighten the room and lessen the load by just being truly incredible.

Nikki is an inspiration, her dedication to the end user, her passion and her ability to walk the walk whilst talking the talk ensure the customers of Wales, are thought about at every single opportunity.“
