“Nikki joined First TransPennine Express as a Conductor around 2 years ago at York depot. Working routes around the North East of England, she quickly gained a reputation with both customers and staff alike for being a fantastic ambassador of customer service.

When working a train or around the station, Nikki makes the customer her primary concern. She goes the extra mile to really deliver on the small details, to make customers the key element of her day and provide a service that is personal and welcoming. On board Nikki's trains you really feel at home and her customer service has, no doubt, left a great many customers of the rail industry keen to return.

What really makes Nikki stand out, is that her influence goes well beyond her customers. Within the depot, her energy and positivity actively raises the spirits of other colleagues and in no small way has helped towards wider improvements in customer service across the team. Not only in new starting colleagues who frequently look to Nikki as the standard of excellence, but also to long serving colleagues who she actively supports in both their personal and professional lives.

Nikki is an inspirational customer service professional. She embodies the concept of being a people person and does so in such a natural and infectious way that you can't help but smile. I therefore, would like to whole heartedly support her through offering my nomination for this award.“

“Nikki epitomises EVERYTHING that is defined as Outstanding Customer Service at First TransPennine Express. It is hugely evident that her whole demeanour, her caring and people skills shine and Nikki has and continues to receive letters of praise with reference to her tireless efforts in getting it right for our passengers.

She goes out of her way to provide each and every passenger an individual experience by the way she acts. A true professional who genuinely gives so much time, energy and often laughter into her daily work and keep passengers on the move, provide timely information, assistance and advice and she excels during times of disruption.

Not only does the passenger experience Nikki's infectiousness, but train crew alike and particularly at her own depot at York where she can be seen interacting with all members of staff. Nikki is always the first person to call me to assist if there is any form of disruption at or around York station and provides an incredibly high standard of Customer service skills.
