Said the following about Mo Valuto and Patrick Vallely:

“When storm Doris hit the UK IP Track’s Maurizio (Mo) Valuto and Patrick Vallely both found themselves stranded in London after a meeting at King's Cross.

With many train lines out of London closed or severely disrupted, when the intrepid pair got to Euston and realised that the on-station team was stretched to capacity, they offered their services. With thousands of passengers on the concourse and the enquiry teams doing their best, Mo and Patrick donned their hi-vis and manned the enquiry desk.

They manned the desk until around 23:00 handling hundreds of enquiries from distraught and often challenging customers. Some were even in tears but the guys carried on even after the station staff had gone off shift!

Mo summed it up afterwards “The most rewarding thing was that we helped them get home safely." Patrick added: "It felt right to assist the passengers and if there was a situation like this again, we'd do it again."

It goes without saying that these guys put the customer first and when they saw Network Rail colleagues struggling in extenuating circumstances, got stuck in to help.“
