“Mike took the lead role in a life saving incident involving a suicidal male on the wrong side of the fence on a road over rail bridge at a busy station location. The male was desperate and clearly upset and was stood on a very narrow edge of the bridge. Mike with only a year's service in the Force, took the lead role in negotiating with this male for over 20 minutes, as he gradually coaxed the male back down and into a waiting ambulance. It was a heart stopping situation which could have easily gone the other way, but with calm, patient understanding, Mike kept his focus solely on the individual to bring the situation to a safe conclusion. A job well done!“
