Said the following about May-Ann Lew:

“A consultant at Interfleet, May-Ann's management skills span beyond her day job to her involvement with the Young Rail Professionals (YRP) organisation. She has risen to success within YRP and this year has taken on the role of YRP National Ambassadors Manager.

Through YRP, May-Ann headed up the organisation of a new venture last year; the Joint University Presentation Programme (JUPP). This is a joint venture between rail organisations and institutions from across the UK and aims to address the current skills gap in the rail sector. The programme's goal is to educate university and college students on the opportunities available in the rail industry through giving on campus presentations highlighting potential careers in rail. Last year it reached 16 universities and engaged over 180 students across the UK.

The organisation and successful execution of this initiative has proven May-Ann's management and leadership skills. Her work encouraging recent graduates to get involved with YRP by volunteering to ambassador with JUPP and other initiatives to promote rail led to her being elected as YRP National Ambassadors Manager this year.

I worked closely with May-Ann as a new ambassador with YRP last year and through her mentorship and constant support I am now confident in my ability to take the reigns on JUPP for the coming year under her leadership.

May-Ann's ability to lead, her mentoring skills, and her passion to the railway industry make her the perfect candidate for the Rail Manager of the Year Award.“
