“Mark developed Network Rail's new containerised air switchgear solution for traction power sites, from writing specifications, liaising with switchgear manufacturers and assemblers, and overseeing the development and testing of the prototypes. The innovation enables individual switchgear assemblies to be racked out for maintenance under safe conditions without shutting down the whole substation. The equipment has now been fully product accepted and is a very successful project.“
