“Mark has been the supervisor here in the Ticket Office at Cambridge for years. He is the rock of the team, the one we can all rely on to help us out with those fiddly queries, random places nobody has heard of and support when we are having a hard day. Mark really cares about his team and is a massive support to the front line clerks and fellow supervisors. He is a rostering genius and can see solutions to problems and there's not much about tickets and ticketing that he doesn't know.
Cambridge has a reputation within Greater Anglia for offering exceptional customer service to its customers. We get sent the customer issues that other stations don't know how to sort out. Most of these will find there way to Mark and he will always get a good result. His knowledge and good humour are a settling factor when we know we are going to have a busy day ahead of us.
This nomination is made on behalf of the Ticket Office team, not just me individually. We don't often tell Mark how great he is and when we do, he just shrugs it off. Mark, we think you're great.“
“I have worked with Mark over 20 years, there is nothing he doesn't know about tickets. he is my go to person if I have a complicated journey to sell and want to double check things especially if it involves the routing guide. I dont have the pleasure of working in the same office with Mark these days. But he is always happy to help me on the telephone. And his sense of humour is and always has been exceptional. The ticket office wouldn't be the same without Mark at the helm.“
