Said the following about Lisa Hunter:

“Lisa Hunter joined Chiltern some 5 years ago, and from her first day in the business she hit the ground running. She continues to uplift standards in her team and the wider business as Continuous Improvement Manager, sharing her can-do attitude and belief that even the most daunting of problems can be simplified and understood to enable positive change.

However, one of Lisa's most recent notable achievements - and the prompt for this nomination - involves work she completed outside of her day-to-day role. In the last business year, Lisa stepped forward to lead not one, but two Engineering functions as an interim Head of Department due to staff absence for almost 12 months. Lisa took on a significant amount of responsibility and workload to ensure business continuity; just one of the ways Lisa demonstrates that she is a team player, and always leads by example.

As one of the few women based in our Engineering and Fleet department, Lisa has also worked to champion and promote equality, diversity and inclusion. She has selflessly worked to mentor other women in the team, and has also worked extensively as a Chiltern LGBTQIA+ ally through 1-1 coaching of our LGBTQIA+ employees. Her contribution to Chiltern Railways has been nothing short of impeccable, and would be a worthy winner of the Rail Person of the Year Award.“
