Nominations for Customer Service Award

Olga Korchik

Said the following about Kyle Porter:

“I just wanted to recognise the Land Sheriffs we have on Walton line doing an amazing job. I had them on both of my trains this evening, and I have noticed when they are about revenue we take goes up dramatically and many passengers have commented how much safer they feel because troublemakers are dealt with promptly. We had one problem youngster tonight who was aggressive both towards myself and the land sheriff, he was removed at Thorpe-le-Soken and later attacked his own mother who came to pick him up. This incident has been reported to the police but unfortunately, police are not very interested most of the time so having land sheriffs makes a massive difference“

Said the following about Kyle Porter:

“Kyle has been a great help to staff at Ipswich, assisting staff with challenging passengers and going out of his way to help us during periods of disruption. Kyle and Dan have made a real difference since being deployed at Ipswich Station this year!“

Tyron Bright

Said the following about Kyle Porter:

“I have nominated Kyle due to his consistent assistance at Ipswich station. He often goes above and beyond in his role dealing with disruptive passengers and vulnerable adults. Multiple times he has helped me out as supervisor at Ipswich by de-escalating vulnerable passengers who are looking to cause themselves harm. Lastly, Kyle also shows a genuine interest and care for customer service. Helping passengers when we are busy we day to day-to-day enquiries or journey plans. This isn’t in his job role but he seems more than willing to do so. Overall Kyle is a great asset to Ipswich station and ultimately a good person. Kyle also jumped into action a few weeks ago to retrieve a female who had gone on the track to try and put herself in harm. There is no job too big or small for Kyle.“
