“When she arrived at the Station she found a young women sitting on the Platform edge! Kirsty went to speak to her and told her to move back as trains were due! The women replied that â€she didn’t care if it hit her any wayâ€. Kirsty then quickly rang the signaller to stop the trains and her and another Customer managed to talk her into coming back into the booking hall. Kirsty then rang the signaller back to allow trains to run again and also contacted BTP to get some assistance. The young women told Kirsty that she had been made homeless and had stopped taking her medication after splitting up with her boyfriend! Kirsty stayed with the young women until BTP arrived and made sure she was safe. BTP then took her away to the Hospital for further care and Kirsty carried on with her normal duties! In my opinion Kirsty has saved the life of the young women and also stopped some major disruption in the process. Kirsty clearly shows that she puts the Customer at the heart of everything she does.“
