Nominations for Rail Manager of the Year

Said the following about Kaya Ramjee:

“The London Overground network has seen phenomenal growth since Rail for London took over operation of the network in 2007. Rail for London secured funding in 2013 to extend all of the London Overground Class 378 electric fleet from four to five carriages to reduce overcrowding and create additional capacity on the network. Network Rail appointed Kaya Ramjee to lead this project for Network Rail, co-ordinating with Rail for London, London Overground (LOROL) other train operators and four Network Rail routes. The deadline for introducing the first five car trains on the North London Line and East London Line were very challenging. Kaya has worked tirelessly to make sure that the project is a success. Pulling together colleagues from across Network Rail and the rail industry has been challenging but Kaya has demonstrated patience, leadership and genuine enthusiasm for the task in hand. The first five car trains are now running on both the East London Line and North London Line and will shortly be introduced on the Euston to Watford Route.“
