Said the following about John Loveless:

“Inspector John Loveless has campaigned tirelessly to make Ilford Railway Station a safer place for the public. In doing so, he has shown real compassion towards the community and has gone way above and beyond what would be expected of him. He has battled for funding for extra policing operations in the area which is not under his command or even the jurisdiction of The British Transport Police so that the people using the station and the station staff will have a safer environment in which to live and work. He has banged down many doors that have been closed in front of him until he got the support he needed. As a result of Inspector Loveless' hard work and dedication, a large scale policing operation is coming to fruition which will mean the streets will be safer than they were before. Inspector Loveless has shown a genuine compassion for the community; an example of this is upon finding out that a young 15 year old girl had written a heartfelt letter to the local council about being frightened about the crime in her area affecting her family. Inspector Loveless took it upon himself to knock on her door and speak to her personally to reassure her and her family. During a local council meeting a young mother informed him of the sexual abuse she suffered outside her home and told him that she was frightened to even take her daughter outside her house, Inspector Loveless walked her home all the way to her front door so she felt safe, putting himself in danger in the process (officers should be double crewed in the area as gangs will surround the police). Many civilians may feel this is all in a police officers day job, however instead of ring fencing the railway station as Insp Loveless's focus, he has taken the whole community into his heart, which is within the Metropolitan Polices jurisdiction, and has made it his problem to solve.“
