As Head of Safety at McGinley Support Services, he works tirelessly, with his team, to ensure that McGinley delivers a safe, compliant workforce to the rail industry. His every decision is made with his commitment to ‘Everyone Home Safe Every Day’ in mind.
McGinley Support Services supply circa 2000 temporary & contract staff each week and keeping safety as a top priority in such as large workforce is a massive challenge, but one that John is proud to undertake.
John is continually looking for ways to improve our policies and procedures and communicate the safety message to our workforce and our clients. John has become heavily involved in the Track Safety Alliance (TSA), which was set up by a number of tier one contractors and Network Rail to allow stakeholders to develop and share best practice. As a founding member and the one of the selected specialist recruitment business in the TSA, John plays an active part in all of the forums. He has run workshops and introduced special guest speakers on hot topics at the Staff Safety Representative Conference in Westwood and is a major instigator of promoting 'sharing best practice'.
In addition, John is the editor of the industry leading SafetyINRail Magazine, which is produced by McGinley Support Services. SafetyINRail, a free publication, is sent to over 4000 McGinley Support Services workers and 600 members of the rail safety community within 170 companies, making it the must have rail safety publication.“
