“John joined Bridgeway in 2014 as a Graduate Surveyor with little practical experience in engineering
and none in rail. From the very beginning John has shown high levels of enthusiasm and a willingness to learn which has shone through.
When joining our team John was new to the Railway Industry but within 2 years he has firmly embedded
himself in the railway environment both from a survey aspect but also from a Safety Critical perspective.
He has taken on COSS responsibilities and undertaken survey secondment works for others with great
competence and ease. John has fast-tracked his understanding of all things rail by getting out on track
wherever possible and enhancing his technical knowledge through mentorship.
John is a hard working, diligent, skilled and highly capable individual who has a great interest in
engineering, and to date has been a real asset to Bridgeway. In an environment where demand for
engineers within the railway industry is higher than ever, John represents a great example of quick
development by the merging of training, work ethic and academia in conjunction with hard work and determination.“
