“Ford & Stanley have had the pleasure of working closely with Donna Baker throughout 2015 since her permanent appointment as Operations Support and Internal Recruitment Manager at Lloyd's Register Rail in late 2014.

Donna, having moved "in house" from a recruitment consultancy herself has a strong appreciation for recruitment suppliers and sets the standard in the way she engages with her supply chain and PSL.

Our nomination is based on not a singular success but a list of achievements which include:

- Hosting and coordinating the YRP/Young Lloyd's Register Rail International Exchange drinks reception

- Creating a graduate selection, job fair and recruitment programme and successfully recruited LRR's first two graduate engineers

- Developed a thorough yet swift recruitment process which has enabled LRR to interview, secure and retain the top engineering talent providing the company to become highly competitive in a skills short candidate market

The tremendous success we have shared with Lloyd's Register Rail this year is a direct reflection of Donna’s proactive approach, the way she sees the value in close working partnerships and her appreciation of how tough it is to secure talent from a very skills short candidate market. This along with the above listed achievements we feel makes Donna deserving of recognition, if not the award itself.“

“Since joining us Donna has made a massive difference to our recruitment effort. She has efficiently managed our supply chain of recruitment consultants for both permanent and contract staff and has introduced new procedures to make the recruitment process and efficient as possible.

Donna has also done a lot of work in developing the candidate experience from preparing candidate for interview through to offer and on-boarding.
