“Dave's current location is Lostock ticket office. For many years now that staff at Lostock have been working in a temporally ticket office, and has been the case for nearly 9 years. After recent talks, a new ticket office has finally has had planning permission and funding signed off. Dave's outstanding work ethic has made this run smoothly. His proactive approach to helping management and staff has sped up the process, so him, the staff and the customers can enjoy the new ticket office. He was the point of contact for different situations that went on during the works. He used his own time, his own car and to move equipment back and forth to other locations. Without this it wouldn't of been possible to complete the work in such time. He kept me informed about how the station was doing and even went down to Lostock to litter pick and keep the posters up to date so that our customers knew what was happening. Dave is always very polite, smartly dressed and a true gentleman. He goes out his way for staff and customers without thinking about himself.
This is the reason why I nominate Dave as Station Staff of the Year.“
