Said the following about Caroline Dugdale:

“Caroline has been with Northernrail for many years, firstly as a conductor and then within the past 7 years as a station retailer at various locations.

Her knowledge of the business and of her current job role is exceptional and with the introduction of a new ticketing system within the company last year she became an asset in assisting her colleagues to get to grips with this system and was on call for them should they require any help. She also used to go around the stations personally assisting staff who were struggling with the change. She has patience and took time to make sure that staff has sufficient training to enable them to continue comfortably in their role. She also made a short file of instructions to give to staff after training just in case they needed to refer to certain tickets after she had left them. She mentors without hesitation any new starters within the company giving them the knowledge of her experience to these new staff members making them feel more confident during their first few weeks within the company and starting them on the right path to achieve.

She is definitely an asset to me as a Manager and nothing is ever to much trouble for her.

More recently I have given her a challenge that she has taken in her stride by placing her in one of the biggest revenue taking stations of my area and here she is putting into place a complete new filing system and files to enable the regular staff at this location to be able to access information quickly and efficiently as time here is the essence due to the enormous footfall of passengers that is constantly increasing. Her knowledge of her job is extensive and her eagerness to learn is incomparable and she is a great asset to me as her Manager and also to the many colleagues that she has helped in her time with Northernrail.

I am really proud to have Caroline in my team and I really do hope that she will be recognised as she is truly deserved of this award nomination.“
