Said the following about Daniel Evans:

“Having joined the rail industry from school just over 10 years ago as a trainee, Daniel has persevered through hard work, on the job experience and day release to college to gain his Level 3 National Certificate and Foundation degree in Electrical Engineering. Not satisfied with his progression, Daniel took a sabbatical year to undertake a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering at Manchester University, achieving a First Class Honours in just 9 months.

Daniel has brought this perseverance and hard work ethic to the projects that he has been supporting, undertaking the CRE role for Carstairs Junction remodelling. Daniel has become the company expert in Station Systems in Scotland undertaking the role of Lead Telecoms Engineer on the HEP project, where he has been working for the last 2 years. Driving innovation and adopting the latest technology, cameras and IP based systems, Daniel has captured Network Rail's aspirations for stations in Scotland, creating resilience and flexibility for the future with the HEP SISS systems, improving reliability, reducing maintenance and improving value for money.

When asked about Daniel, Telecoms Professional Head at AECOM, Kevin Goode said 'He's my No.1'.

Daniel is now passing on his experience to others in the business, supporting apprentices and team members with mentoring whilst continuing to develop his personal skills & professional qualifications as his application for IEng is progressed.“
