Said the following about Carl Bavister:

“Carl supports all our new starters, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and behaviours that a station dispatcher needs to be able to do their role safely and competently. He spends the first few weeks from when they arrive at the station until they pass out. Familiarising them with station orientation, completing mentor diaries, and ensuring they have non-technical skills in place. Carl can instinctively recognise the training approach he would need to use for each individual, and how they learn whether it is more practical or classroom, and adapts his training skills to maximise their potential and to ensure they have completely understood. Carl is so passionate in his mentor role, which is evident in his approach, making each new starter feel at ease and enthusiastic about their new role. He takes the time to train thoroughly, expressing concerns when he has any, asking advice when needed, identifying training needs until he is sure they are confident in the role, coaching when needed, and doing all he can to ensure they are fully trained and competent in the role. Carl you really are doing an amazing job and love how you share your trainee's successes.“
