“Throughout 2014, the Technical Office Team (Tech Office) have worked diligently to develop a series of fleet performance improvements and initiatives which have been developed with their internal stakeholders in the wider Engineering and Operations teams taking the ideas from concept stage, through the approvals process before fleet wide implementation. The result of which has led to a gradual and sustained impact on fleet reliability which has helped contribute to the highest ever levels of reliability recoded for this fleet. In addition to the project work, the teams engages proactively with the shop floor staff providing technical leadership on the day to day issues that are multiple on a fleet of this age where through shear hard work and dedication they have managed to balance both the requirements of the project work and the day job and often in quite challenging circumstances given the impact on unit availability which is inevitable during such modification programmes. It’s an immense achievement what this team has managed to implement in the past couple of years which has helped to introduce a more stable platform to develop the next initiative.“
